Involvement

✰ Research ✰

"I conduct cancer research in the Low Lab at Purdue. Collectively I work with undergraduate students as well as faculty in the lab to synthesize ligand-targeting drugs that will bind to cancer cells. The research experience has helped me gain confidence in my intellectual abilities as well as given me the tools necessary to succeed in a lab oriented company." ~Regan Weberding (PC '17)

✰ Purdue University Dance Marathon ✰

"I’ve been involved in Dance Marathon in high school, so I was really excited to come to Purdue and continue supporting Riley! It helped me branch out and meet new people on campus! I love supporting my committee as a Chair!" ~ Maddie Congdon (PC '19)

✰ Boiler Gold Rush Team Leaders and Team Supervisors ✰

"I have been a member of Boiler Gold Rush since freshman year as an incoming student. I truly enjoyed my experience and felt so welcomed by the school that I wanted to give the same opportunity to other new students. I joined BGR as a Team Leader my second year, and I continued on with the program as a Team Supervisor! It is a truly amazing experience that has taught me how to become a better leader." ~Caitlin Jelensky (PC '18)

✰ Old Masters ✰

"Old Masters is one of Purdue’s longest standing traditions that brings together esteemed alumni and the student body. I have the honor of serving on the 2020 Central Committee where I have spent this year planning for our upcoming program in the fall! Old Masters has taught me to never give up on my goals and always reminds me how thankful I am to be a Boilermaker." ~Molly Branz (PC '17)

✰ Intramurals ✰

"Being involved in AGD intramurals has given me an opportunity to stay active during college and to be able to play on a team with my best friends from the house!" ~Clara Masson (PC '17)

✰ Purdue Student Nurses Association ✰

“I have been a member of Purdue Student Nurses association since my freshman year. This have helped my professionalism grow over the past couple years by introducing me to new career options, philanthropy opportunities and attending the Indiana Association of Student Nurses convention at IU, where we can listen to faculty (including some of our lovely Purdue Nurses) talk about careers, research, grad school opportunities and even have the chance to talk with recruiters about externships. Not only, but this club has given me some good connections within  my major” ~Lauren Arado (PC '18)

✰ Black Tie Dinner ✰

"Black Tie Dinner is an event held once a year in the spring. This dinner is mainly planned, run and executed all by students with the help of a few advisors. Not only does it allow students to be hands on from serving, cooking or learning and pouring wine, but it is also a fundraiser, helping give back to the Lafayette community to Food Finders Food Bank! This year I am the Director of Culinary so I will be overseeing everything that goes on in the kitchen, helping students learn, preparing the menu and more!" ~Colette Oboy (PC '18)

✰ Order of Omega ✰

"Order of Omega has provided me with an opportunity to collaborate with other Greek leaders and particpate and plan events that help better the Greek community" ~Minsun Kim (PC '17)
